About Us

The "509 Artspace" is a friendly place where visual artists from in and around the Tri-Cites gather to work on their art skills. Membership is open and we welcome anyone who wants to further their skills and abilities.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10am to 1pm to create studies of the human face and figure.

And we get together on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays to go out as the "509 Urban Sketchers and Painters," into the community to sketch and paint what we find.

We pay our models depending upon their level of comfort: clothed models receive $12/hour; and nude models, $15/hour. Models must be 18 years of age, 21 if modeling nude.

If this is your first time considering modeling, you are more than likely not-sure about modling in the nude, and there is no expectation that you do so.
